Chinese medicine and western medicine are fundamentally different in their approach. How does this affect treatment and results? Watch the video and find out!
Are you or someone you love currently on the lookout for a good acupuncturist? How do we know who to trust? In this video, I answer this common question and describe the training and background of acupuncturists throughout the US.
This is an article published in 2015 about my experience with TaiJi Push Hands and my venerable teacher, Master Herman Kauz
Allergies and Intolerances remain a mystery to conventional medicine. In the world of energy medicine, associations, even subconscious, drive the frequency of all that we encounter.
I am often asked by patients how I replenish myself. As you may realize, performing acupuncture and energy work is demanding. I aspire to a lofty goal. I aim to deeply connect with each and every one of you. I plug in then stay with your space on every single visit every week…and month…and year....
THE HEART AS EMPORER
In Chinese Medicine, the Heart is the “emperor”. Throughout the dynasties of Chinese history, the emperor was the single greatest influence on the prosperity and peace of his people. It was the will of the emperor, and his alignment with heaven, that filtered the grace of heaven to his citizens. The emperor was more than just the political and military leader; the emperor embodied the absolute destiny of the empire...
The following are basic principles of training the mind to relinquish disease. This is not incompatible with any particular belief system, but emphasizes those aspects of our beliefs that maximize health. If we can master these, we can free ourselves from any disease.
- A thought is a “thing.” It has energy and form.
- The mind with its thoughts and feelings controls the body; therefore, to heal the body, thoughts and feelings need to be changed.
- What is held in mind tends to express itself through the body...
"...The apex of the direct human study of life’s undulations is manifested in the I Ching that pre-dates recorded history (4000 BCE). Its concept is simple: Truth through a larger viewpoint brings clarity and stability, even in the face of intense transition. It is important to see the bigger picture because at our core we are eternal aspects of divinity. It is in that space we find peace. The present situation is just a blip on the radar at best, deceptive illusion at worst. It is by looking beyond that we find perspective. Truth really does set us free..."
I am writing this specifically to tell you that acupuncture delivers more than disease control. The mechanistic view of the body is limiting because it does not include the influences of non-physical causes of disease, nor explain sufficiently the importance of our perspective in establishing an atmosphere for wellbeing…
I have recently been implementing “Battlefield" Acupuncture with great effect for severe pain as a compliment to my more thorough treatment protocol. This is the most effective short-term analgesic I have found in over a decade. The effects are stunning and the implications many.
"This is one of the fastest pain attenuators in existence — the pain can be gone in five minutes," said Col. Richard Niemtzow, a physician, acupuncturist, senior adviser to the Air Force surgeon general, and founder of the approach...
Why does our spine cause us so many problems?
- Muscle Imbalance
- Hyper-reactive nerves
- Space-occupying lesions
With all of these pathologies, it is oversimplification to claim that invasion of bone or disc into the nerve’s space is CAUSING the pain. Every day, patients walk into the clinic with an x-ray and that is exactly what they say. But there are many people out there with similar x-rays for all of these pathologies that are pain free, or their pain is much reduced, so there must be more to the equation...
